Nothing is totally waterproof, but these seam-taped packcloth booties are close. For best results wear cycling pants over top of the booties.

Good question. The Descente Element Shoe Covers fit more snugly than the MEC shoe covers, and hence are more ideal for performance, road cycling shoes.

It is best to use the sizing chart in the product desciption of these shoe covers (sized for narrow, cycling shoes). If you have wider, casual shoes, I recommend that you choose a size that corresponds to one more than your regular shoe size. For example, if your shoe size is 10, then choose the large shoe cover because it fits a size 11.

These shoe covers keep my feet dry, and I highly recommend them, even if the weather is just cold and damp.

Sizing of cycling shoe covers for women ...

Hi - I wear a women's size 7 -7 1/2 and am intersested in buying a pair of shoe covers for the monsoon season ahead. I will be wearing the covers over either boots or 'regular' street shoes. Can you tell me what size I should order ??? Thanks , Kim

The X-Small size accommodates up to US Women's size 8.5. If the outside of your boots are quite large, then I would go with the next size up, Small.
